Microneedling, which is often referred to as ‘collagen induction therapy’, is a treatment that increases collagen and elastin production which naturally declines as we age, however this can be treated at our Telford skin clinic. Microneedling will restore collagen levels, rejuvenate your skin and provide anti-ageing effects, as well as being a popular facial to get rid of acne scars and pigmentation.

A microneedling device uses tiny sterile needles to prick the surface of the skin. This creates controlled trauma to the skin which encourages the skin to repair itself by increasing collagen and elastin, which we lose rapidly as we age. Microneedling induces collagen which has a tightening effect and keeps the skin looking youthful.

This treatment includes; steam to detox the pores, a deep cleanse, hot towel therapy, a thorough skin analysis, extractions, microneedling with the IvanMed DPM8 device, a hydrating sheet mask, ice globe facial massage to reduce redness, serum, moisturiser and SPF to finish. For best results we recommend a course of 4-6 treatments to be repeated every 4 weeks and to combine with 20 minutes of Dermalux Flex LED Light Therapy to maximise results. If you book a course of 4 microneedling sessions, you receive 10% off and 4 free add on LED sessions to reduce the redness and promote faster healing.

The benefits include; improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improving acne scars, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, increases collagen production, enhances plumpness of the skin, skin tightening and many more. There is minimal downtime, although clients may experience dryness and flaking for a few days which is normal. Suitable for most skin types, but not active acne.
